The Atlantic Beach area is arguably the epicenter of the famed North Carolina "Crystal Coast." For years, the link to the Research Triangle portion of NC via Highway 70 has resulted in this being a prime resort area for a major portion of North Carolinians, as well as many other vacationers. This areas beautiful souther facing beaches and an infrastructure that was molded for tourism has really helped this area thrive.
